The John P. Hussar Insurance Agency planted its roots in the Southern Tier in 1993 as a Nationwide Insurance Agency. In 1999, when it became apparent our community deserved a more localized insurance agency to meet their unique needs, we became an independent insurance agency. Being independent has allowed us to better meet the needs of our clients in Johnson City, Binghamton, Vestal, Endicott, Endwell, and the Northern Tier of Pennsylvania, as well as all of our clients across all of New York and Pennsylvania.

Our final transition occurred in January of 2010 when we became the Hussar Insurance Agency, Inc. This final transition allowed us to further fine tune our relationship with insurance carriers around the country and better advocate for our clients.

Since our inception, we have helped our community rebuild after two devastating floods. We have comforted countless people on their worst days – from trees falling on their homes and backed up sewers to their child’s first car accident. We support and encourage innovation in the community by helping entrepreneurs realize the dream of owning their own business with comprehensive malpractice and liability packages.
